Accessibility at Stancy Events
We plan events so everyone can take part, and we want our website to work the same way. Our goal is for this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We are still working toward that goal, and we welcome your help finding anything we have missed.
What this site does
- A “Skip to main content” link at the top of every page.
- Every link, button and form field works with a keyboard alone, with a clear outline showing where you are.
- Meaningful images have text descriptions (alt text). Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, the site turns off smooth scrolling and animation.
- Form errors are explained in words, linked to the field they belong to, and read aloud by screen readers.
- Text and background colors are chosen for strong contrast.
- Pages still work when you zoom in to 200% or use a small phone screen.
- Clear page titles and headings help you find your way around.
- Links that open in a new tab say so to screen readers.
Known limitations
- Our recipe pages come from an older blog. Some photo descriptions are brief, and some wording is carried over from the original posts.
- Links to other organizations’ websites, such as client logos and recipe sources, go to sites we do not control.
- Our contact form uses a Cloudflare Turnstile spam check. If it ever gets in your way, please try again later.
Tell us what is not working
If something on this site is hard to use, or you would like information in another format, please let us know. Tell us which page you were on and what happened. We will reply within 2 business days.
- Use our contact form and put “Accessibility” in the subject line.
